Indonesian Fried Chicken

  • 8 Peels of Garlic

  • 1 Thumb of Ginger Minced

  • 4 Shallots Minced

  • 1 Tsp Curry Powder

  • 1 Tsp Coriander Powder

  • 1 Tsp Ground Cumin

  • 1 Tsp Tumeric Powder

  • 2 Tsp Chicken Powder

  • Pinch of Salt & Pepper

  • 100 ml Water

  1. Put all spices into a blender and blitz into a paste

  2. Rub spice paste onto the chicken pieces ( Add bay leaves on chicken )

  3. Marinate overnight

  4. Steam until semi-cooked

  5. On high heat, deep fry until golden brown

  6. Serve with sambal, Kecap Manis and Cucumber
